Good News for Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico located at the west of two island which is United States Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands. Besides, this island also located at the east of the Dominican Republic and the northeastern Caribbean Sea. Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the United States.

There is two good news for Puerto Rico residents, one of them is the President United States of America, Barrack Obama will come to visit them in June. Almost 50 years since last president, John F. Kennedy stopped here by December,1961. Barrack Obama come here to pay his promise during the presidential primaries in 2008. For Puerto Rico residents, only half of them are qualified to vote in U.S elections. And now, President Obama need them as the key election battleground of Florida to make sure he can retain the Sunshine State in 2012.


Bone marrow transplant procedur

Another good news for Peurto Rican is the first blood and marrow transplant clinic will be open. This clinic opened by Moffitt Cancer Center of Tampa in this summer. Before this, the adult Peurto Rico residents, they need to leave the island if they need bone marrow transplants. But they still need to be evaluate first before they qualified as the good candidates for that transplants after leave the island. So, there still 50-50 that the adult Peurto Rican can do the transplant. This clinic will provide service for patient that needs an evaluation for a possible allogeneic stem cell transplant, and follow-up care. Although the patient still need to leave island for the transplant but by the presence of blood and marrow clinic, they can save their time and money.
